Occupational Medicine is the specialty devoted to treating injuries and diseases related to the workplace. Residency training includes a masters degree or equivalent in public health heavy with biostatistics and epidemiology training which provides an emphasis on understanding and applying the scientific literature related to the conditions found in the workplace. While the majority of these are orthopedic in nature, it can include parts of several other specialties such as in occupational pulmonary diseases or dermatitis.
